Are you trying to conceive?

Follow these three tips to understand your ovulation cycle and when you are most fertile:

  • Watch for changes in cervical mucus – it should be thin and slippery when you are ovulating
  • Use an ovulation kit – women with a 28-day cycle tend to ovulate on day 14
  • You can start trying to conceive right after stopping birth control

If you’re trying to conceive, check out  fertility tips from our friends at Women’s Health!

We love tip No. 1! We also would recommend including a folic acid supplement to your prenatal vitamins.

We do caution that this method’s failure rate is higher than oral contraceptives, or other kinds of contraception.

Boost fertility by eliminating low-fat dairy from your diet!

Women who consume lots of low-fat dairy, face an 85% higher risk of ovulatory infertility.

Consider switching to whole fat dairy.

Are you trying to conceive? Kick the smoking habit.

Nicotine and carbon monoxide from cigarette smoke reduces egg supply and age the ovaries.

The Rashti Women’s Care team recommends staying away from secondhand smoke, marijuana and other recreational drug use when trying to conceive.
